What means advertising?
The art of luring the "common man" to think that what you think is the best is the simple definition of advertising. At least this is what an advertising school teaches the young and energetic student of the twenty first century. And those students, who grow up to be advertisers, are the ones that are sidelining the common man due to their thought processes. The students are taught on how to manipulate the others, and to prove that what they say is the best amongst all. No manipulation, no money or honey in the kitty!!! A deep penetration of thoughts is needed to look inside the mind of a person and an advertising school is the best place to learn it.
Different kinds of advertising
Spread of the "word" -
Be it the street hot-dog vendor or the mighty Bill Gates, a verbal spread of the word is needed to expand. Next time you pass by your nearest hot-dog cart; try paying a little attention to the "might be" fat man's words. There is a ninety percent chance that he will say, "enjoy the best hot-dog in town". Probably, our fat guy has no education from an advertising school, but who can stop him from advertising his means of daily supper. And I bet that our man here makes a good fortune each day, courtesy to his "advertising" skills. On the same side, how do you think Mr. Bill Gates transformed himself into a currency machine even after not going to an advertising school? Well, supposedly he must have asked his dear friend to spread the word about his new software he made. Isn't it?
The classic old professional way -
Not paying heed to the heading, if we just try to go deep inside the meaning, the way remains the same. Just a small change is that the technology has rocket boosted its engine. Thanks to Mr. Steve Jobs or Mr.Bill Gates, we don't need to sit upright all night long writing and wearing our fingers down. Asimple click of the Internet on your laptop is enough to simplify your work. Some simple steps might be taught to you in an advertising school to carry on the legacy of this good old art.
Comedy - An advertising school may teach you how to design an advertisement, but a pinch of some slapstick humor in you ad will increase your product's brand value. If not by a million, for sure by a single penny, which is worth it!!
Knowing the clients - Even which fat hot-dog guy we spoke about knows what kind of taste his customers want. But for what? Well just to keep the quality of his work up to date. The same rule applies here.
Repeat the ideas and time management - So let's take our hot-dog guy's story to the next level. What makes you think he repeats "the best hot-dog in town". Just because he wishes to implant the idea in that little brain in your head. And he also saw the time and where to set his cart. What if set his cart right next to Hilton? So, you see the importance of these points. Remember, he didn't study in an advertising school!!
Signature, picture and the right tools - Here, our fat man might fall thin due to resources, since he didn't graduate from the country's best advertising school. But generally, the signature logo is necessary to differentiate your credible work from the others. Plus a picture of the product you sell or the institution you represent is an important step. If you are using Internet to make your ad, make sure you use the right tools like Adobe Photoshop or iTunes for it.
